A master is laid to rest

A pair of pants, a sweater and a raincoat... those are what Yves Saint Laurent used to say was all a woman needed to be fashionable.

The man who was pretty much an artist passed away yesterday, leaving behind a legacy of vibrance, foresight and style. The fashion world has lost a wonderful icon.

Today, designer Stefano Pilati continues that legacy with his own twists on classic looks and couture.

The NY Times has a nice full-page tribute to him today in the paper edition. Here is the online article.
