Thais & Adam Hall

My friend Thais said "I do" to her best friend and best love Adam last Saturday at Bethel Community Church in Cool Springs and I was fortunate enough to be there!! I'm still giddy from a wedding that I was a guest/coordinator at. It all went smoothly and the whole affair was perfect! Everyone had a blast especially the bride and groom who had smiles on their faces all day. I've never experienced a more laid back gathering!

Forgive the quality of the pictures - I took them with my iPhone.

The bride got her gown from Bella Bridesmaid and altered it to have a sweetheart neckline and added tulle to the bottom of the skirt for volume. She wore a birdcage veil to top off her really elegant and chic look.  Surrounding Thais are her two gorgeous sister, her wonderful photographer Megan Hill and her cousin.

The wedding was nothing short of fabulous and no one else could be credited more for that than the bride herself.  She was so hands-on, and so D.I.Y I was just agog with admiration.  She enlisted her family to put the decorations up, she came up with the idea to do cupcakes (chocolate with white frosting from Sam's Club topped with a strawberry Whopper) instead of a cake, her cousin who DJ's for events was in charge of the awesome music and the catering was done by local caterer (and life coach, amongst other things) Linda Paek.

Even though it threatened to rain the sun broke through 20 minutes before guests arrived and the weather was just perfect for the outdoor wedding they wished for.  Officiated by the couple's long-time friend, Jaz, the whole wedding was beautiful and meaningful from start to finish.  It was an intimate affair with 60 of their closest friends and family members and I had a blast being there.

Aside from the fun and the joy I receive from being a part of special days like weddings, I really enjoy getting to meet the creativity that lives and breathes right here in Nashville.  Those of you looking for a photographer should really check out Megan's work on her blog and website.  She was great to work with at the wedding - so non-intrusive, great eye, and she had the couple completely at ease the entire time which is key for a photographer.  That mutual trust between subject and photographer is so important and if it's not shared, the pictures can turn out to be really awkward so keep that in mind when you source for a photographer for your big day - they may be great in their portfolio but, do you like them and do they like you?

Anyway, back to the newlyweds - I'm definitely honored to have been asked to be their coordinator. Congratulations again Thais and Adam! And, congratulations to all you newly engaged and newlyweds out there.
