September Events In Nashville

Lots of fun activities for you all. I say "you all" because I won't be around to attend any of these (bummer) but you should anyway!

Vivek's Epicurean Adventures Supper Club

Yes, I know I talk about this supper club a lot, but it's something that bears repeating. Just go. Trust me, and go. You get great, freshly cooked food and wonderful cocktails and pairings and you get to have a great experience while at it. It's no ordinary supper club. If you want to know how my past experiences were, go here and here.

7 for All Mankind Nashville: Hosted by Zarna's Runway

Saturday, from 2 - 5pm at the Green Hills Mall's 7 for All Mankind boutique, local style and fashion blogger Zarna will be hosting this VIP shopping event. It's free to attend, you MUST RSVP though so make sure you do that ASAP and Zarna will be on hand to give you styling tips on how to wear 7's latest styles. They've got some great jeans for the impending cold weather and this is one event I wish I could attend!

September 17 - 22nd, 2012
Sit, Stay, Love - Pet Adoption and Pet Supply Drive at Anthropologie

Pardon the janky text, I had to modify the image to include information!

Pretty clothes and puppies - what more could you want?? Through the week of the 17th, you can drop off pet supplies to the Anthropologie Accessories store in the mall during regular business hours, and if you or a friend are looking to adopt a dog and want to bring home a daily, unlimited dose of unconditional love, head to the Anthropologie store in the Hill Center on the 22nd.

For more information contact each store directly.

Otaku South Ramen Dinner

This event and the 7 Jeans event are two of the ones that pain me to miss. Not that I can complain, I'll probably be blissfully getting my own dosage of delicious ramen while back home but I've been yearning to taste some of Otaku South's bowls.

The Pop-up dinner will be held at the newly renovated 12th South Taproom. Purchase your tickets here and do it NOW because I know many have already done so and you don't want to miss this. She also offers vegetarian ramen options so be sure to specify that when you make your reservation. Kids are welcome (time to start your children on some diversity and good food!), the taproom will have their usual selection of beer/wine but Otaku South ramen chef Sarah Gavigan recommends saki or beer!

Hopefully, this is the first of many Ramen pop-ups that will occur. If you do attend, I would really love to know what you think. For many people in Nashville, this will be the first time tasting real ramen. My advice is to eat EVERYTHING in your bowl. Drink the soup while it's hot, and notice how the flavors change when it cools a little and when you get to the very bottom of your bowl. Don't be shy to slurp your noodles so grab a bunch with your chopsticks, get a mouthful and slurp. It's not rude, it's totally allowed.

Have a great rest of September, I'll see you all when it's actually Fall.
