Hello! You're here! Welcome!
My goal for this blog is for it to be a resource for other moms like me - moms who:
Are business owners/entrepreneurs
Don’t want to have to sift through the sea of search results
Can’t stand going on those message boards on baby sites
Don’t have time to read all the books
Like nice things
Still want to have a life of their own when possible
This isn’t as vital but I’m an older mom (I’m 41) and will talk about a lot of things related to my age
More than anything want to maintain a sense of self
Are you going to spend time going through reviews and product comparisons? Are you going to take to social media to crowd source? Will you want to ask your mom friends for advice too? Sure and I encourage you to do that! My biggest and best resource has been my friends who are moms who are either at the same stage I am or who have been moms longer than I’ve been.
Here’s my first tip: It can be very very isolating being a new mom so DO NOT BE AFRAID TO ASK FOR HELP AND GUIDANCE FROM THE PEOPLE YOU KNOW.
If there’s one thing I learned when I miscarried eight years ago it’s that I was not and am not alone and someone out there has been through the same trials/tribulations I have.
So that’s why I’m here. That’s why this blog is going to happen. I’ll be honest, I hmm-ed and haw-ed when it came to starting this baby up, mostly because I didn’t think anybody cared what I think or would be that interested. I also want to add that I'm not doing this to try and become a mom blogger (though if any brands out there wants to send me things that are of use to me/my child to try or review, I’m always open to that) but ultimately if I can reach or help just one new mom out there with all this? Then it’s all worth it.
Stay tuned, the blog posts, they are a-comin.
Daycare - Things To Consider When Looking For One
When looking into child care for your infant, there are options out there like nannies, au pairs, sitters or daycare. Here’s a list of things I’ve learned since enrolling Theo in his that could help you in your research!
New Favorite Product Line: Cloud Island
Maybe some day I’ll be all “hey look at me I’m sponsored by some brand and whatnot.” Till then, I’m happy sharing the things I like FOR FREE. Read on for my latest favorite thing from Target (as if I needed another reason to shop there).
What do you ACTUALLY want/need on hand when your baby arrives?
It seems like the list of things you need when you’re about to have a baby is endless and it can be if you let yourself go nuts with it. Here’s what I learned I actually needed and used when Theo was finally here, and how I prepared for the day!
Baby Registries Part 1: Planning
Even though I love shopping, the registry started out as a rather overwhelming process because, well, what ISN’T overwhelming when it comes to having a baby?
If you need a starting point on WHAT to take into consideration when getting your shopping list together, I’ve laid out a few things for you here and I hope this will help simplify the process for you!

Parenting Survival Tip: Let It Go
After a conversation with one of my best friends the other night about letting go and realizing what priorities are, I thought I’d share one of the tougher lessons I had to learn. It’s been a theme lately - letting go - with things going on in my life in general and of course with raising The Baby.
This post can also be subtitled, “Hamilton: A Tabbulous Soundtrack” because there’s been a few gems from the musical and its official podcast that have been mantras that I’ve even made into calligraphy projects!

An Update From The Little Mom Who Couldn't Engine
Remember how I said I wanted to blog about balancing being a business owner and a mother? Yeah…
Nesting Part 2: The Nursery
There was something very cathartic about getting the nursery ready, not only because we had to throw a ton of junk out (purging feels soooo goooood) but also because it was such a huge signifier of new things to come.
Today I'm sharing the befores and afters of our nursery transformation!
